  • ISO Certificate of the manufacturer
  • Product manual of the applied devices
  • Trademark Certificate if available or required
  • Testing documents such as filled CCL and CDF
  • Authorized Indian Representative and Affidavit (In case of Foreign Manufacturer)
  • Trademark Authorisation Letter, in case the brand, is not owned by the manufacturer
  • If the signatory person is other than the head of the manufacturing facility, then submit the Authorisation Letter

Procedure of registration

 

The process of registration can be categorized into the following steps:

Step-1: Identification of IS standard

Identifying the right quality Standards for the product before applying for CRS registration is an essential part of the whole registration process.

Step-2: Documentation and Filing

Once the right quality standard is identified for the respective product. Applicants are required to produce details and documents for the same. Which will be enclosed with the BIS application. Applicants are also required to produce test reports for their products from BIS certified testing labs.

Step-3: Verification and inspection

After, the submission of application along with application fees and test report. The licensing authorities thoroughly inspect and verify the produced documents and premises (in some cases) before issuing a BIS certificate.

Step-4: Issuance of BIS certificate

The BIS CRS registration will be issued within 20-25 days, once all the formalities are duly completed.
